Q. I bought a new Verizon Account and BlackBerry Storm to go along with the plan. A few weeks later, I called Verizon, to see how long I had to exchange the phone, because I wasn't quite satisfied with the product. I was told 30 days. I then went in to a Verizon Store, started the exchange, only to find out that I purchased my phone at a Verizon Authorized Dealer, and that the exchange had to be through them. This "dealer" only offers a 15-day exchange policy. My question is, why should I, the consumer, who purchased my NEW Verizon account and phone through a "Verizon Dealer" be subject to an ambiguous terms policy? Unfortunately when you do not go to an actual corporate store it is out of their hands. They did not get the credit for the phone originally therefore they aren't going to exchange a phone and lose out on two phones. They are commission based and if you didn't buy it from them you really don't matter, you didn't make them any money. I'm sorry but that's the reality of things. The only option I can see is going to the highest management possible at the authorized retailer or call verizon and threaten to cancel your account.
