What is the difference between a 5th generation apple ipod classic and a 5.5 generation classic apple ipod?
Q. I am thinking about getting either a 5th generational ipod or a 5.5 generation ipod classic. What is the difference? Any experience with one or the other or possibly both? Which one should I get? Thanks!

A. The 5th gen and 5.5 gen are essentially the same, but the 5.5 gen has a brighter screen and it also includes a small search function (to quickly find songs/albums/artists/etc. on the iPod). The classic is 6th gen. It's got a slightly different design (more rounded) and the screen designs are a little different. The main difference between the 5th and 6th gens is the space. 5th gens hold 30GB or 60GB, and 6th gens hold 80GB or 160GB. Good luck choosing =D

Power of 5 is like 5^x and remember, it's the LARGEST power of 5 that DIVIDES the PRODUCT of 1x2x3...98x99x100. Thanks! How do I qualify for the 5% long term capital gain rate?
Q. I am trying to do some tax planning prior to selling a stock I have held for a long time (over 5 years). From my understanding, long term capital gains are taxed at 15% rate unless your taxable income would otherwise put you into a lower tax bracket, in which the long term rate is then 5%. Is the gain from the sale of the tax part of the taxable income? I have a very small annual income of about $20,000, but when I sell the stock, I will have a gain of about $500,000. Will it be taxed at 15% rate or due to my low income, will it be taxed at 5%? And if I wait until 2008 (maybe 2009) will it be taxed at 0%? The tax laws are very confusing in this area. Please help me out.

According to Kotler's Principles of Marketing, the 5 five sages of the buying decision process includes: need recognition, information search, evaluation of alternatives, purchase decision and postpurchase behaviour. Makes sense. But then he also writes about the 5 stages of the adoption process, which to me are quite similar yet not the same: awareness, interest, evaluation, trial and adoption. So what exactly is the difference? And how do they relate to eachother? I'm so confused! And it's for my thesis!

How can I shave off 5 minutes of a movie file without reducing the quality?
Q. i am trying to fit avatar on a dvd. but it say it is 5 minutes longer than the disk can hold. only way i know of doing that is with windows movie maker. cut off first 5 minutes but i would have to save the rest. quality will be lower afterward. anyone know a editing program to avoid that or can i change some setting with movie maker?

A. Here is a good way to picture it. You have 5 slots: _ _ _ _ _ Each slot can only hold one number. You have 5 different items that you can put in the first slot. If you put one of your items in one slot then you have 4 slots left for 4 numbers. 5_ _ _ _ Following that same train of thought you end up with 5 4 3 2 1 So you just multiply 5*4*3*2*1. This is also call 5 factorial and looks like this 5!. So your answer is 120

What is the distemper/parvo 5 way vaccine they give dogs sometimes called boosters?
Q. I want to know what is in the 5 way vaccine boosters. I know it protects them from parvo, and then one is a bordetella, but what is the distemper? Does the 5 way vaccine mean there are five different things the shots protects the puppy from?

A. Bordetella is a vaccine all by itself. The 5 way DHLPP vaccine is for distemper, hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus. There is also another vaccine often used that is the DA2PP and that covers Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza. Different vets in different areas usually use different vaccines for diseases that are prevalent in the area. I know in many areas they just use the DHPP vaccine since Lepto isn't something that is commonly an issue.

Is my 5 month old son too young to have half juice and half water? And when I can start him on baby food?

A. You can give some light juices like pear and apple about 4 months. I used pear and apple juice in my daughters cereal to start out with also. You want to avoid juices like orange that will be higher in acid. A baby can start eating rice cereal about 4 mo. then go from there with the different cereals. At about 6 mo. your child can start having stage 1 baby foods. Some suggest trying vegetable before fruits and vise versa, so just go with your instincts. Also you want to try one food for several days to test for an allergy. They move to a different food for several days, then so on. If your baby doesn't seem to care for one type, keep trying over a few days, or wait a week or so. Baby's taste change very quickly. Be sure to keep… [cont.]
